I believe I have some information about Doc Green and Candi Creek Banjo Works that you may be interested in. My email is jimmy@thinkclarity.com. I have many of the instruments he owned at the time of his death and have been working with Lori (widow) on rehoming many of them into the Nashville player community.

Hello Chuck,
I'm an artist and would like to get your permission to use
your photo of the African Banjo Player in a history book
about music. I would use it in the section about the banjo.
Please let me know as soon as possible.
Laemouahuma Daniel Jatta plays the akonting, an African instrument that may be a precursor to the banjo.
Thanks, Kathleen

Hi Chuck,
I'm Michael Stapleton's brother-in-law. You gave me a banjo lesson this Fall. I still remember your thoughtful teaching. I practice the wonderful chords you taught me. Thanks again,
Brian

Chuck,
I met you at an acoustic blues open mike night and we spoke a few times, briefly. I have a question I hope you might be able to answer. I'm working on a friends Fairbanks and Cole, which he wants classical banjo strings on , and I'm not sure how to tie them on this tailpiece. It's an Elite with five knobs at the front and seven teeth, five spaces, like a comb, on the back edge.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Charlie

Hi Chuck
I left you a phone message about trying to get hold of a picture of Daniel Jatta and the akonting. With best wishes.

Chuck, I just found your vids on the Gold Tone 6 string -- it was great! I have several S S Stewart banjos that i have nylon strings on and i have become an avid follower of the old time string sound. Could you tell me if you think the Gold Tone six string would sound o.k. set up for nylon? I am also relocating to Florida and I was wondering if you take on any more students. Thanks, Bill Bauer
